Mantia and Bowe Join Team Stressless

Next Year US Olympic Speed Skaters Brittany Bowe and Joey Mantia will join Team Stressless, the commercial and international skating team that already boasts some big name speed skaters, including Bart Swings (BEL), Jan Blokhuijsen (NED), head coach Desly Hill (AUS) and trainer Jelle Spruyt (BEL).

Sprint World Champion Britanny Bowe spoke about her move to Team Stressless “Combining skaters with different backgrounds gives the opportunity to learn from each other’s technique and strategy. That is what makes this an interesting project.”

Joey Mantia is excited about his move to Team Stressless: “I think it will be a very interesting season. Both for me and for the team. Team Stressless hosts many talents who can all learn from each other.” The American is originally from inline skating and will focuses on the ice on the medium distances and the mass start.

Head coach Desly Hill who has known both skaters from an early age said “With her mentality Brittany is a huge win for Team Stressless. She is dreaming of the gold medal at the Olympics in Pyeongchang (2018) and her desire to win will benefit the whole team. I expect Joey will be hard to beat the coming seasons. He is a real professional and the way he rules inline skating is promising for his future.”
