The Sunday Bladers are a popular inline skating group that holds many inline skating events for skaters in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. When it comes to having fun on skates, the Sunday Bladers know what they are doing. Not only does this fast growing inline skating group promote having fun and socializing during their skates, but they follow each skate with an enjoyable brunch. The group is comprised of adult men and women, ranging in age from 21 to 60+ years old, including many married couples. The group loves to meet new inline skaters, and you can just show up to an event and skate.
The group is very organized and makes regular email contact with the group offering info on upcoming skate events, group pictures, and a critique of the after skate brunch destination. The Sunday Blades events start at over 30 different locations, with most being within 30 to 45 minutes of St. Petersburg, Florida. The skating events mostly take place on trails that are designated for blading and biking. The Sunday Bladers group usually meet up at 8:00 AM, and start skating at 8:30AM, and the brunch starts about 1 hour following the skate. During the warmer months the skate is from 8 to 12 miles, and in cooler months can go as far as 20 miles.
The Sunday Bladers group skaters by their appropriate skill level, including a slower group that has a nice easy pace, and two faster groups for the more advanced skaters. The Sunday Bladers group is a great place to skate and meet people on Sunday mornings, and the best part is it is completely free.
