When it comes to competitive speed skating, the legendary Tampa Classic Speed Skating Invitational Meet is second to none. The Tampa Classic is considered one of the premier speed skating meets of the year, and it takes place on Easter weekend in sunny Tampa, Florida. Offering both indoor and outdoor skaters a beautiful racing venue, attending the Tampa Classic is a must for all speed skaters. The indoor portion of the inline racing takes place at United Skates of America, which happens to be ranked as one of the top ten skating rinks in the US. The outdoor racing takes place on a challenging course at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Tampa Classic welcomes skaters of all levels to participate in the Tampa Classic which makes for an extremely enjoyable atmosphere. The skaters can try their hand at many different race distances, while competing along side some of the best speed skaters in the world. The Tampa Classic is known for drawing competitors from all over the globe, and is a great place for speed skaters wanting to ready themselves for Outdoor and Indoor Nationals, as well as the World Championships. Many Olympic and World Champions have attended the Tampa Classic Invitational since its inception in 1979.
